We've had really good luck with keeping membership as an open door policy. We are going to keep this policy, with a couple of new revisions. Per usual, anyone interested in the group may join the yahoogroup. We are not an online group, but find that communication between realtime meetings is easier this way. Once someone joins the yahoogroup, they have 3 months to come out and meet us and see if this group is what they are looking for. After 3 months, if no contact has been made, they will be removed from the list. Once they decide they'd like to try again, they can request to join the list again.
Once we've met the new member, if they are still interested in participating in group functions, we will send them directions to the meeting places. This has worked well for us in the past.Yet, I do want to point out that we retain the right to deny or revoke membership to known mischief makers or people that can't behave in an adult manner.
Having a safe, sacred space to work on our self/spiritual growth and inner healing along with worshiping the Goddess and God is our primary goal.... and as such,immaturity won't be tolerated.
This group is also children friendly as we feel children should be able to worship with their parents in a group enviroment.
